Fereidoun Rassoulzadegan
Dr. Fereidoun Rassoulzadegan, D.sc. (1982) is "Directeur de Recherche Premiere Classe au CNRS" (Full Research Professor) as a biological oceanographer. With over 25 years of experience in research on marine microbial ecology, he contributed to the development of the new paradigm of microbial food web fuctioning in many ways: trophic role of marine Protozoa, controle of bacterial production, microbial production of DOM, microheterotrophy in coral, microbial recycling of NH4 and PO4, nutrient limitation of the microbial activity and concepts in the diversity of food webs structure. Within CYCLOPS project, this partner will deal with the study on the functional response of microbial trophodynamics to changes in nutrient (PO4 mainly) concentrations in the Mediterranean oligotrophic waters.
